Kim McDermott

My passion for real estate began years ago when my husband and I bought, improved, and sold several homes together. That experience led me into a career in real estate, and I have now held my license for over 10 years. I am grateful to be part of Forge Realty Group at the Real Estate HUB and truly enjoy guiding people through the buying and selling process. My goal is always to provide my clients with respect, honesty, and efficient service, while maintaining a positive attitude and clear, effective communication.

I was born in Bozeman, Montana, and raised in Billings. Pursuing my dream of nursing, I graduated from Montana State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, while also playing college tennis. My nursing career spanned more than 30 years as an emergency room nurse. In addition, I owned a gym franchise, 1-2-3 Fit, which further strengthened my background in business and leadership.

I have had the honor of serving on numerous boards and being involved in a variety of fundraising efforts. Currently, I am a sustaining member of the Junior League of Billings and have also been involved with Tumbleweed, STEP, Venture Theatre, Billings Studio Theater, 100 Strong, the 406 Race Series, and NOVA. I have chaired annual fundraisers for STEP, Venture Theatre, and the Junior League.

My greatest joy in life has been raising my children. I was widowed in June of 2004 and have two adult children from that marriage. I remarried in 2010, and my husband added two more to our family.

I enjoy many hobbies, especially those that allow me to be outdoors, including traveling, road biking, mountain biking, skiing, trail running, lifting, pickleball, tennis, home projects, camping, and hiking. If it involves being active and enjoying Montana’s outdoors, I’m all in.
